British born Peter Hall graduated from London's Royal College of Art in 1961 before a 44-year long career as a textile designer. His freelance design work took him all over the work, travelling exclusively through Europe leading him to settle in Durban, South Africa in 1976 as the Design and Marketing manager for Whiteheads. In 1987 new shores glistened and new challenges arose in New Zealand working for Maurice Kain also as their Design and marketing Manager. Peter's work is extensively collected locally and internationally. There is also a collection of Peter's work featured in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Peter still paints daily in his studio where he now resides with his wife Lynne in Cockle Bay on the Eastern shores of Auckland.
