Mauricio Benega

Mauricio Benega has been working as a Graphic Artist/Illustrator since 1995. Born in Brazil, he moved to New Zealand in 2004 and became a citizen in 2011.

Recently moved from Piha to Hastings, where he lives with his partner and kids. When not surfing around the bay, he likes to work in his studio on different projects at the same time, which varies between; Illustration, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Caricature, Mural, Editing and Printing. Participated in 30 Art and Comic contests around the world with 7 Awards between painting, design, signage and storyboard. Nine solo exhibitions and ten group exhibitions.
