Esther Dexter
Esther Dexter was born in London and moved to New Zealand in 1999. Her studio is situated high on a windswept hillside near Wanaka.
Coming from an artistic family, Esther has experimented with various art media for most of her life. Esther’s work is often dreamlike and melodramatic, exploring how we remember places and our emotional links to them. A strong eye for design and contemporary colours makes her South Island inspired landscapes very recognizable.
Esther exhibits throughout New Zealand and her work hangs in private collections in the USA, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
