Emma Louise Butler
Born in London, England, Emma has been a practising artist since completing her degree in textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2001. She moved to New Zealand in 2005, and has a studio situated in the heart of Queenstown. Her works are quirky and fun, a colourful escape from reality with a humorous twist, like pages from a children’s storybook.
Ruby, Emma’s most recent character, is a happy soul filled with wonder for the world around her. Ruby always has a flock of birds accompanying her on her adventures that see her sailing in pirate boats, parachuting or cycling through the lovely autumn leaves with her dog, Scarlett.
