Darina Denali
Darina Denali is an award-winning artist based in Russell/Kororāreka, Northland, where she has lived and painted since 2010. She graduated from the Private School of Art and Design in Prague.
Working primarily in oils and watercolours, she creates vivid, expressive, dreamlike paintings that explore connection, belonging, and our place within the natural world. She draws inspiration from coastal life, birdlife, and motherhood.
Blending realism with abstraction, her work tells stories of adventure, resilience, kindness, and hope.
