Artist's Bio

Doug is a third generation Northlander born and bred living in picturesque Ngunguru on the stunning Tutukaka coast.

Doug is passionate about many things, family, surfing, and capturing stunning landscapes. Doug draws much of his inspiration from his formative years chasing golden hours and perfect waves around New Zealand's coastal treasure trove.

Doug has spent most of his life capturing imagery, and spent over twenty years capturing high-end imagery for some of the world's most prestigious image libraries while living in London, Sweden and Hungary. His photos graced the covers of many international publications including National Geographic Traveller, Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Insight Guides, Living France, Eye Witness, Time Out, Wanderlust, Frommer’s, Berlitz and Cadogan Guides to name a few. His images have also been featured in numerous calendars, novels, music CD's, countless internet uses, TV adverts and in several large advertising campaigns.

Doug continues to indulge in chasing waves and capturing evocative landscapes during beloved golden hours.
