Artist's Bio

Davinia McDonald was born and raised in South Otago on a large hill country farm. She has loved all things rural from a young age, and hopes her passion for animals, farming and the land shines through in her photography. She aims to capture unique, resonating scenes which evoke fond memories of time spent on the farm.

Davinia lives in beautiful southern New Zealand, which is perfect for her photography with a strong farming focus and close proximity to some of the best scenery NZ has to offer. She was inspired to be a rural photographer in her younger years by the works of other prominent NZ artists in the field.
