Prints

Our prints are sourced from all over the world and number in the thousands! Additionally, our database is constantly being updated and a printed version would be out-of-date almost immediately!

We do carry a range of catalogues that are available to our trade and wholesale customers.

No, but we have retail stockists throughout New Zealand. Please view the retailers section to find store near you. We are located at 231 Lichfield Street, Christchurch.
We do our best to provide an accurate colour representation - however, as all monitors are calibrated differently, we cannot guarantee that the colours will be exact. Our prints are of a very high quality, the resolution is much higher that what you see on screen and therefore the colours are generally clearer and more vibrant than any online representation.
The sizes listed may vary slightly and we strongly recommend that you do not arrange framing until you receive your prints.
We have access to thousands of prints, some of which may not appear on our website. Please contact us with your request and we will see if we can source it for you through one of our suppliers.
For loose prints allow 2-4 days for dispatch and 2 days for delivery. For framed pictures as there are so many prints and frame combinations they are not always in stock so please allow 10-14 days for dispatch and 2 days for delivery. Please choose your frame carefully as we do not take returns on framed pictures.

Decals

Wall Decals require a smooth (not textured), clean and dust free surface. If your wall is freshly painted, please wait 3-4 weeks to ensure the paint is properly cured. We do not recommend applying the decals to paper but almost any non-porous surface is suitable - doors, cupboards, fridges, laptops, glass, metal ...and of course, walls!

As we cannot issue refunds on partially installed or used decals, it is MOST important that you use the sample provided to ensure that your wall will allow adhesion. Recently painted walls, or paint finishes that are not completely smooth will sometimes impede application. The sample should be applied to a hidden part of the wall and left for a few days to check that your surface is suitable for application. You can order a free sample decal to test on your walls - please refer to the decal section to place the free sample order.

Our decals come packaged in 2 ways. The larger decals are packaged in an eye-catching box with a photograph of the decal on the front. The smaller Flat pack decals are packaged in a clear cello-bag with a fold-over cardboard top that can be hung or displayed flat. All decals are supplied with detailed instructions and a squeegee for application.

As there are so many colour and size combinations in the decal range sometimes they are not always in stock. Please allow 10-14 days for dispatch and 2 days for delivery.

Shipping Art-prints:

Orders within New Zealand: For ease of tracking, we use a 2 day courier service to ship within NZ.

Loose prints are rolled within a sturdy tube - and mounted/framed prints are packed with protective cardboard.

International orders (outside of New Zealand): The most cost effective shipping option on unframed prints is by the New Zealand Postal service. We use airmail (6-10 working days) which offers good service without huge costs. Prints are rolled within a sturdy tube. We do send matted, boxed framed and stretched canvas prints overseas. However we are unable to send framed images that are over 1.45m in finished length or any glass product Shipping costs are dependent on quantities ordered will be quoted at the time of your order.

Unframed prints are dispatched within 3-5 working days. Framed (inc. Matted Prints) are dispatched within 5-7 working days. However, with such an extensive range, we are unable to guarantee that prints are in stock at time of order. All wholesale orders up to 3 weeks.

We will contact you about any delays and will not proceed without your consent.

Returns Policy

If for any reason our print does not fit your requirements, we will accept your returns and cancellations.  For up to 14 days from the date of purchase for returns and for up to 48 hours from the date of purchase for cancellations. Shipping is non-refundable however and the print must be returned in the original condition. Framed pictures are made to order and therefore returns and cancellations are not possible.

Printing Services:

Image Vault offers a printing service founded on the strength of our knowledge of fine art and its reproduction. We have been involved in the art industry for over 70 years and with this experience understand the artists requirements and expectations. Along with this history in the art market we bring considerable experience with in-house computer systems and use the most advanced technology and equipment available.

The System:

The art prints are printed from very high quality digital files which are created from the original artwork. The digital file is processed through our Macintosh computer system and transferred via specialised RIP software to our Epson and Roland 8 colour printers. Complex in-house ICC profiling of the media, along with specialist computer equipment, all ensure the output is accurate. We use pigment based inks for our archive art and photographic prints, which are far superior to those used in traditional lithography in that they are brighter and have a high light-fast rating of 80-100 years in archive conditions.

Media Choices:

There is a vast range of substrates available including watercolour paper, canvas and photographic paper. Image Vault carries a wide variety of media with many textures, finishes and weights to suit the particular style of artwork.

Finishing:

All our canvas prints are protected with a unique finishing spray that protects the ink and surface from damage. Once sprayed, the canvas may be embellished by the artist to further individualise the work. Water colour prints may also be coated with the protective spray to reduce their susceptibility to marking. We offer an in-house canvas stretching service along with selected framing and finishing options.

Please Note: Please allow 7-10 days for production of framed product and Image Vault does not offer sale or return terms on framed goods. All orders are carried out to your specifications and are therefore on a final sale basis. Should you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us as soon as possible. Image Vault accepts full responsibility for any faulty product and, providing stock is available, will undertake to replace goods immediately. Please report faulty or damaged goods within 3 days of delivery.
