Emily Adams is a self-taught artist loves experimenting with texture and colour. She finds inspiration in her many surroundings, from the quiet of the countryside to the vibrancy of the city. Emily often contemplates her next piece of art, posters or prints while enjoying a meditative garden stroll or wandering through bustling antique markets.

In all her prints, art and posters, Emily often stylishly captures juxtaposition of old and modern world elements. Always creating, Emily views subjects with a creative and fresh perspective. Whether she paints florals or objects found on many of her adventures, she always renders them with soft brushstrokes and a varied palette. For Emily, even the simplest object is magically transformed into a whimsical and often unique painting.

She paints things the way she sees them... which is more how she wants them to be than how they really are. She paints what she loves: all things French, fashion, and feminine objects that capture the imagination. Inspired by elegant country gardens and exquisite Parisian storefronts, her pieces of art are admired for their elements of whimsy. Emily’s motto is “life is too short to overlook the beauty and humor right in front of us.” This motto helps her to lead a secluded life in her cherished country home, and to travel extensively, mostly to France to enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer. She works in oil and mixed media.
